Say Goodbye To WhatsApp
If you've made the choice to leave WhatsApp, either as a result of limited storage space, you can delete your account permanently.
Before proceeding make be aware that deleting your WhatsApp account is absolutely irreversible. Once you delete it, all your messages will be erased, along with your chat history. It's essential to save any messages before proceeding.
To delete your WhatsApp account, follow these steps:
1 Start by opening whatsapp web on your phone or accessing the WhatsApp website using a desktop browser.
2 Click on the three dots on your desktop browser, located in the top-right corner of the browser window.
3 Tap on 'Settings', to open the settings panel.
4 Navigate to the 'Account' section, and look for the 'Account' section.
5 Look inside the 'Account' section, and tap on an option that says 'Delete my account.'
6 You'll be prompted to enter your phone number to confirm the deletion of your account. Type in your phone number and tap on 'Delete my account.'
7 WhatsApp will then ask that you want to delete your account. This is a permanent action, and you won't be able to log in again using the same phone number after erasure.
After following these steps, your WhatsApp account will be deleted completely, and you won't be able to log in again using the same phone number.
Note that if you've used WhatsApp Business or WhatsApp with multiple numbers, deleting one account won't delete all of them. In this case, you'll need to delete each account separately.
Removing WhatsApp from your phone doesn't delete your account, so you can still delete your account even if you've removed the app from your phone.
