Installing WhatsApp Payments

Before you begin, make sure you have the WhatsApp app installed on your phone with an active internet connection mobile data or Wi-Fi. Follow these steps to set up WhatsApp Payments.

1 Start the WhatsApp app on your phone. Click on the three-dot icon on the top-right corner of the screen.
2 Pick 'Payments' from the drop-down menu.
3 Press the 'Add new payment method' button to initiate the payment setup process.
4 You may see a prompt asking you to allow WhatsApp access to your Google account. This is required for the payment setup process.
5 Now, select the banking app you wish to link your WhatsApp Payments account with (e.g., SBI, HDFC). Select the account you wish to link with the WhatsApp Payments feature.

Once you've chosen the bank, you can scan your UPI PIN for verification. You may have to complete the verification process through your bank's app to complete the verification process. Select your payment method to set up the payment process.
